An Easy Escape From Downtown
Leavenworth is a wonderful place to spend a day. It is also busy, especially on a weekend in summer or anywhere near the lights of December. When the sidewalks get shoulder to shoulder and every table downtown has a wait, point the car east on Highway 2. Ten minutes later you are in Peshastin, parked out front for free, and walking into a room where the beer is cold, the fryer is hot and nobody is rushing you out the door.
Old Mill Tavern is the neighborhood tavern for this stretch of the valley. Locals, orchard crews, riders coming off the highway and travelers who took a chance on the exit all end up at the same bar. It is the kind of place where somebody knows your name by the second visit, which is exactly why people who live near Leavenworth drive here to eat and drink instead of staying downtown.
Famous Burgers and a Full Kitchen
The burgers are what people drive over for. Hand built patties on a toasted bun with melted American and Swiss, our own OMT special sauce and all the fixings, served with fries or tots. Add bacon, add grilled ham, or let the Clucky Burger swap in crispy chicken. Beyond the burgers there is fish and chips, chicky strip baskets, wings by the six, twelve or eighteen, fish tacos, loaded fries, pulled pork, French dip and a fish sandwich.
Every day of the week carries its own food special, from Taco Tuesday to Fish Friday to Sunday biscuits and gravy in the morning. The bar is full, the taps rotate and the domestics stay cold.

Pool, Darts, Pull Tabs and the Game
There is a pool table in the back room with cues on the wall and enough space to line up a real shot. Dart boards are up and waiting. A wall of pull tabs sits beside the bar for anyone feeling lucky, and the TVs over the bar carry whatever game matters that night. It is the half of a tavern evening that keeps people around long after the plates are cleared.

Out back is The Yard, our outdoor space with string lights overhead and tables built for hanging around. On a warm valley evening it is the best seat in Peshastin, and there is room to pull a few tables together when the group grows. The Yard is not open every day, so call ahead if that is what you are coming for.
